Helping hands Activity.

This year for our wards helping hands activity, We decided to show service to one of the newer local schools. Lucan East Educate Together National school. This is Michael & Katies school. The Principle, Vice principal (who is Katies teacher in September) & teachers were delighted when I came to them with this idea. The school is currently adding 8 classrooms, a long awaited parents room, as well as a gym hall to their building. Being so busy with the work in progress, they were happy to let us help brighten up the school yard with some Murals. We also varnished the school benches too.

Altogether the nineteen of us there had a Lovely experience, sharing some newly found painting talents and chatting freely about the church to the non members there. It was a gorgeous sunny summers day. There was sunshine in the souls of all those who attended, members and non members alike.

The children from Primary had a blast adding their pieces to the murals. They did a great job too :) They were very well behaved.

I can't wait to see the faces of all the children, when they return to school next month. When they see the scenes we painted for them. We painted different kinds of trees, butterfly's, birds, bushes, clouds, and a great big sun. Garden scenes. The Children will all take part in framing our murals, with their hand prints. to make their mark on their school forever. The members who attended have made plans with the school to come and do more service. Helping out with the school gardens and any other work that they need help with before and after the building work is finished. overall a very productive day. It always feels good to be involved with the children's school. I hope if they see me interested in their school, then hopefully they will be too :)

Suzanne bring sunshine as usual.
