Our ginger bread house

Let me begin by saying that the "fun" experience of "building" and decorating ginger bread houses will NOT be a regular family tradition in our house at Christmas. OH MY GOODNESS. the stress of it all. Maybe it was just that way for me? Maybe I just didn't have a clue? haha It was worse than building a house of cards. It kept falling down. Walls fell in half. We used a tonne of icing as cement to hold it all together. The table was worse than a building site. It got so bad at one stage, that I actually told the kids to go play, while I finished building it haha Once it was standing (without falling apart) they came and helped me to decorate it. This was the best part. It wasn't a masterpiece, but it was done. It was something new to try (ONCE) and it was nice letting the children get messy and have some fun with it all. At the end of the day, its all about making Happy memories and sharing time together. That day we did we did both :)

  1. Ha ha, i should have guessed (with your need to have all things perfect) that this might be a challenge for you. :) It looks great though and always good to eat them afterwards.
