When I heard about some morning sewing classes in Michael and Katie's school, I wasn't too keen. I couldn't sew if my life depended on it. But me being as I always am, wanted to be involved as much as possible. I also thought it was a great way to meet and talk with some of the other parents. So each Monday morning for two hours for about 6-8 weeks overall, I went to my sewing classes. I am no expert but I'm proud to say I now have some clue what I'm doing :) I even sewed the hem of Michael's Jeans the other day. Go me haha During our classes I made these 2 bears. they're stuffed "teddies". I made them in Christmas colours so they are now Christmas polar bears :) I gave one to my mum as an extra little Christmas pressie. She was delighted and very impressed with me. I have orders from a couple of friends and family members for next Christmas :) I wasn't excited when I heard the idea of the class. I went along more as a rep from the P.T.A. But I am so glad that I did, because I made some new friends and gained a new "talent" to build on in the future. So Moral of the story is, never be afraid to try something new :) ya never know what you could learn.
I love them, they are so cute. I am terrible at sewing, you'll have to teach me.
