Erin's Baptism :)

Today was Erin's Baptism. It was definitely a day to remember. I was so excited and surprised when Erin told us her great news that she was to be baptised :) The chapel was full with Family and friends showing there support for this special day. Erin's Dad and his Family all made a lovely effort to be there for her too. She looked like an Angel in her white dress. A nervous angel but an angel all the same. It was obvious for everyone to see the Happiness that beamed from Erin all day. We started of with some prelude Music from Rebecca. Audrey gave a talk and nearly had me in tears. Nikki gave a lovely talk too. Erin loves having her and Suzanne as leaders. The young women sang one of my favourite Primary hymns "I like to look for Rainbows". John Baptised Erin then while Dad and Patrick were witnesses. Once Erin was dressed again (after her freezing cold "swim") we all watched a short video message. To finish of the meeting Bishop opened time for testimony's. Dad bore his. Then all Michelle had done was walk to the stand and I was in tears. She bore a very special, sincere, heart felt testimony. The spirit in the room was so so strong. There was no holding back my tears of happiness at this stage, with the strong spirit. Rebecca stood to bear her testimony for the first time and we were all moved by the words she spoke. She said she was so proud of Erin and that she loved her, amongst other things. I feel so blessed to be part of my family on days like this. Yes we're crazy at the best of times and as is normal we have our small ups and downs too. but it is days like this that make you stop and remember what the important things are in life :) Today will be remembered as Erin's special day forever. But also for Michelle and Rebecca's testimony's too. We're looking forward to the confirmation on Sunday now :)

  1. It was such a lovely Baptism. Erin is a beautiful Young Women and has really grown over the last few months.
