Our holiday round the corner :)

As a birthday treat for my leap year Hubbie, I booked us into the Clarion 4 star Hotel. For some much needed us time and some relaxation. It was literally 5 or so minutes from our house. But it may as well have been some other country. It was our very own little bubble :) After settling into our room we had a Gorgeous meal in the hotel restaurant, before heading to Liffey Vally for a movie and some munchies. Once the movie was over we had a nice stroll back to the hotel in the cool night air. Chatting and laughing away about nothing and everything at the same time. We didn't speak of the kids or of the stressful things that go on sometimes. We were just us. Carol and Patrick. On a lovely date. Marriage can make you forget that sometimes. After the cool night air nice hot showers were in order. I slept like a baby that night and woke feeling very relaxed. It was so nice to wake up myself instead of the children or our alarm clock wakening us. A real treat. We had a nice Breakfast together in the hotel restaurant before heading home to the real world again. We will definitely be going back again one day soon.
