Our Family Holiday at Trabolgan.
Where to start. At the beginning is usual a good place, as they say ha When Audrey called to see what we thought about all the family having a holiday together. we jumped at the idea. So all 17 of us booked and planned our break away to Trablogan holiday Village, Co.Cork. 9 Adults and 8 children I had never been to Cork before, so was very excited about this trip.. We rented 2 houses. Me, Patrick, Lisa and Nigel, with Anthony, Lee, Michael, Katie and Robyn, stayed in one house and Audrey, John, Mam, dad, Michelle, Erin, Rebecca and Addison, stayed in the other house right next door to ours :) the houses were lovely 3 bedroomed bungalows. We all travelled down together in 3 cars, it was a long journey, but all children behaved well and we arrived comfortably and safe. We spent Friday till Monday there. We had a wide range of activity's to choose from, Go carting, Quads(Michael loved this and took to it very quickly) zipp wire, Golf and Mini golf, Paddle boats, Mini cars, Aero ball, trampoline area, Archery, laser combat, Tennis, Football, Badminton, Kiddies activity area, and a fun outdoor playground. As well as a heated swimming pool with cool slide. at times the water in the pool turned into waves like at the seaside. It was great excitement. on top of all this, there were games arcades and kids clubs, as well as evening, all family discos and quiz's. we saw Angelina ballerina and a puppet show one of the afternoons. Katie and Robyn really enjoyed this. We were right along the coast of Ireland and had beautiful views of the sea and mountains all round us. There was so much for everyone to do. It was a busy and fun packed weekend. It was a never to forget moment being in the pool, altogether for Addison's first time "swimming". She loved being in the water. John said it was because she loves bath time and was very confused why we were all sharing her new bath with her ha There were many special moments over the weekend. It was such a lovely time being away with everyone. We all helped each other out, making sure no one got stressed, and so that it was possible for everyone to do the activity's they had chosen. some of the adults (the boys lol) were bigger kids, playing on the go carts course. no competitiveness at all ha I was so shocked when Anthony told me he was going on the Zipp wire. Anthony is petrified of heights. This was a Hugh deal for him. He looked so scared at the top of the tower, but he showed his bravery by stepping of and flying over our heads. I would never have attempted to do it, so I was a very proud mum. The holiday was a great success all round. I could have done without the hard bang I gave myself, by headbutting the shower rail with full force ha but overall, it was a holiday to remember. It really made it clear to me, just how important my family is in my life, and that nothing else matters more than that. Hope that this is the first of many Holidays together :)
